A Beautiful Soul

A Beautiful Soul

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, Remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive.

ACTS 20:35

August 20, 2020, around ten in the morning, while under the scorching heat of the sun, I cannot help but imagine how we fulfilled the plan considering we had hectic schedules and had dozens of workloads to comply. With these experiences, I have seen straight from the face of the one who organizes the activity, how she gladly reacted to the overwhelming happiness from the “pedicab drivers” when they received something during her gift-giving activity in the busy streets of Brgy. Luntad and Brgy. Guindapunan in Palo Leyte. A piece of dressed chicken and a face shield may be considered small things and ordinary to some but to our underprivileged brothers and sisters, it is worth of value.

Knowing exactly the good cause of her charity works and how it comes to reality has something to do with a so-called birthday mission coming from the Organizer, herself.
She was born in the seventies and three days after this event will be the celebration of her golden years. She could have celebrated a grandiose birthday party if not for the pandemic. But she chooses to help the poor and the needy especially in this time of crisis and ponders rather on the simplicity of life.

“Mam Karmz” as we call her, is a soft-hearted woman. She easily breaks her tears on drama series. She had a contagious smile that could stimulate thousands of endorphins to any people she gets along with, and the cleverness in her craft adds up to her astounding charm.
But what is the sweetest thing I like about her is that she has a big heart and a Beautiful Soul. With all the goodness she receives in her entire being, she does not forget to pay back the Good Lord thru her generosity for the weak and the deprived.
